TryWard Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026 · Current preview, version 0.1.0
Sairic Enterprises, Inc. publishes TryWard. This policy covers the current Android preview, its browser development preview, our TryWard website pages, and TryWard support correspondence. Arjuna’s Compass has a separate app privacy policy.
Your reflections stay in the app’s local storage unless you choose to export and share them. The current preview has no account, advertising, subscription, or app analytics upload. Website visits and email support involve separate services, described below.
1. Information in the app
TryWard saves the information you enter or create through its practices: thoughts and reflections, chosen goals, action plans and cues, predictions, outcomes, practice history, unfinished drafts, feedback drafts, and preferences. It uses this information to continue your practice and show your personal record.
In the Android preview, this record is stored in an encrypted database on your device, with its key held through the device’s secure storage. A preceding local snapshot is retained for recovery from a failed save. In the browser preview, the record is encrypted in the browser profile; other scripts running on the same web origin could access that environment. A shared or compromised device can expose information despite these protections.
The current preview does not transmit these records to Sairic Enterprises, Inc. It does not send journal text to an AI service. No remote pilot reporting or in-app feedback delivery is enabled in this version. A feedback draft remains local until you choose to export it.
2. Your choices, retention, and deletion
Local records: records remain in the app until you delete them or remove the app’s storage. In Settings, choose Delete all my local data and confirm to clear your local record and scheduled reminders. There is no TryWard account to delete.
Export: Settings → Export my personal record lets you create a readable copy. On Android, the system share sheet lets you choose a destination. Exported files are not protected by the app’s database encryption. The chosen app or service handles the copy under its own policies. Deleting data in TryWard does not delete exported copies; remove those from their destinations separately.
Backups and recovery: the Android preview is configured to exclude its data from Android backups. Device manufacturers and transfer tools may behave differently. TryWard has no cloud synchronization or account recovery. Uninstalling, clearing app storage, or clearing the browser profile can permanently remove your record.
3. Reminders and external services
Optional reminders require your notification permission and are scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in TryWard or Android notification settings. They do not require a TryWard push-notification server.
Source links, support links, and crisis resources open another website or app when you choose them. Those providers receive the information normally involved in opening a link and handle it under their policies. The current preview has no in-app purchases or payment collection.
4. Visiting this website
Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and provides security and website analytics. Delivering a page necessarily involves technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information, and the requested address. Cloudflare processes information as described in its privacy policy.
The website also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure visits and loading performance. Cloudflare describes this service as not collecting or using visitors’ personal data. See Cloudflare’s explanation of Web Analytics. These website measurements are separate from your private app record.
Our TryWard pages do not contain an account form, payment form, or mailing-list signup. We have not added advertising trackers. Cloudflare may use security-related cookies or other mechanisms when protecting the site. Website and security records are handled under the applicable Cloudflare service settings and retention policies.
5. Contacting support
If you email [email protected], we receive your email address, message, any attachments you choose to include, and normal email delivery information. We use these to respond, investigate problems, and handle privacy requests. You do not need to include your private reflections to obtain help.
Support correspondence is handled by personnel and email service providers needed to operate support. It is retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve and follow up on the request, maintain necessary business records, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion; some information may need to be retained where required by law. We do not apply the app’s local deletion button to your email correspondence.
We do not sell your personal information or use support messages for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security threats, or legal claims. Our hosting and email providers may process information in countries other than yours.
6. Adults and sensitive information
TryWard is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
Reflections can be sensitive. Share only what you intend to share, and use a device protected by a passcode. We do not monitor your private reflections. TryWard and its support inbox are not crisis services.
7. Privacy requests and policy updates
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or to raise a concern with a privacy regulator. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your request. We cannot retrieve or alter a local app record that has not been shared with us.
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the effective date here. If a future version introduces remote reporting, accounts, or purchases, we will explain the new data practices before those features collect information and request consent where required.
